Lévi Soulodre (The Pxrtals- pronounced "Portals") has been drawing, playing music, and imagining ever since he could remember...

Beginning with violin at age three, Lévi's musical journey has taken him across Canada, to the famed stage of LA’s Whisky A-Go-Go, and to the heart of Hamburg's Reeperbahn Festival- performing in the same neighbourhood where a youthful Beatles honed their skills. Lévi's touring and recording experiences with his affiliated bands include: recording at Night Owl Studios off Sunset Boulevard (Los Angeles), the Treatment Room (Montréal), and SXSW (South By Southwest – Austin, Texas), NXNE (North By Northeast – Toronto, Canada), CMW (Canadian Music Week – Toronto), Pop Montréal, WCMAs (Western Canadian Music Awards), CMJ (College Music Journal Marathon), BIME (Bilbao, Spain), Incubate (Tilburg, Netherlands), the Great Escape (Brighton, UK) and Nouvelle Prague in its inaugural 2014 festival date.

The Pxrtals, conceptualized in 2012, showcased in Europe in 2016 (Hamburg, Incubate Festival). Their debut album Un Jour, released February 2018, has been described as "Sparse, haunting, and most importantly, honest." - Live Nation UK

Lévi Paintings

Drawing all the way from pre-kindergarten to university, Lévi’s earlier visual works have been featured on the front cover of Francophone youth arts publication Le Clin d’Oeil, the Mendel Art Gallery, PAVED Arts, the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company (SNTC) and CFCR 90.5fm art auctions in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Lévi's painting journey only begun in 2013. Lévi co-presented his first successful public Gallery show, Hidden Gems, at PAVED Arts in August 2016. This was a unique one-day only event showcasing some of Lévi's earliest works, many of which sold on that day.

Lévi's painting practice has only accelerated since, producing an enigmatic array of works from portraiture to wildly emotive, vivid abstract paintings conceptualized in the places in-between space and time. Lévi elucidates his painting and music styles as "ethereal," in the efforts to intimately connect the song/painting's physical features with thought-provoking dream-like essences.
